The story centers around the time of the Crucifixion, as early Christians struggle to come to terms with the mysteries of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. The Roman made responsible for carrying out the Crucifixion also wins Jesus' robe in a dice game. The robe ends up healing this Roman in ways he never realized he needs to be healed.

Days of Our Years by Pierre Van Paassen is a mammoth of a book; 562 pages of insider historical information on Europe prior to the second world war.   The author's position as a journalist living in Paris in between the world wars placed him in a unique position to view the politics and the mistakes that spawned a second world war out of the devastation of the first.

Kimbrough was a very prolific and entertaining author and this book is no exception. There are many belly laughs and if you have ever traveled to Europe or are dreaming of doing so this book is not to be missed.
