Bring Me a Unicorn by Anne Morrow Lindbergh

Bring Me a Unicorn is delightfully light reading of a girl's emergence into womanhood and an eyewitness account of history being played out as she meets her young husband to be for the first time.

It appears to have been love at first sight but...then you'll have to read the account for yourself to discover what truth you can find. The book is taken from the diary and letters of the Anne Morrow Lindbergh and is a representation of her college years and her very first meeting with Charles Lindbergh.

She is the second daughter of the family and everyone expects Charles to fall for the more outgoing and fairer older daughter. But Charles clearly goes for this quiet, introspected brainy woman-child who will eventually be his wife.

The book reads like a bit of romance novel, mystery novel, with a tossing of history for good measure. It's a sweet tale of love coming into bloom; well worth another look.
